Otrivin is applied into the nose, where it reduces congestion of the nasal mucosal and of adjacent pharyngeal areas. Otrivin quickly relieves a blocked nose and has a long-term effect. Adjuvant substances hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose and sorbit moisturise nasal mucosa, prevent its drying and irritation.
